Tewksbury, MA – For the third consecutive year, Lowell Five Bank gave the North Andover Farmers Market a much needed financial boost in the form of a $15,000 donation.
“It’s all about community, all about bringing businesses together and all about families coming out to support those activities,” David Wallace, Lowell Five President and CEO commented at the May 6th check presentation.
As in prior years, Lowell Five’s annual donation will be used to market and promote the weekly market. Since 2017, when Lowell Five Bank provided the seed money for the North Andover Merchants Association to establish the Town of North Andover’s first-ever farmers market, the Bank has been one of their staunchest supporters.
“The support that we get from Lowell Five is wonderful,” Farmers Market Treasurer, Chris Allen said. “It’s been a wonderful partnership. They’ve been so generous, so consistent, and we rely on donations from corporations like Lowell Five to actually get us going. There’s lots of promotion we need to do.”
This year’s North Andover Farmers Market will operate each Sunday beginning June 16th through September 29th between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and takes place at the intersection of First and Main Streets in downtown North Andover. The market is also launching a new feature this year: a Veterans Food Security Program which provides vouchers to low-income veterans.
