Tewksbury, MA – Tewksbury, MA – The North Andover Little League’s Challenger Baseball Team enables boys and girls within the North Andover Community, who have developmental and physical challenges, to enjoy and participate in Little League baseball. The Challenger Team is a separate division within Andover Little League and uses the same fields as North Andover’s other Little League teams. With the help of a volunteer “buddy,” who is there to support the player in whatever way is needed, each Challenger team player experiences the excitement of swinging the bat, running the bases, and playing the positions.
On Opening Day, Saturday, May 5, 2018, representatives from Lowell Five Bank presented Challenger Team Coach, Mike Bono with a donation of $3,500 which will enable participants in the Challenger Division to play free and will provide uniforms, equipment, end of season trophies, and celebratory pizza party.
