Tewksbury, MA – Lowell Five Bank employees have chosen to support Nashua Children’s Home, by selecting it to receive their $6,880 Q1 2020 Lowell Five Employee Charitable Giving Award. The award represents the total employee elected charitable payroll contribution for the first quarter of 2020 and a 100% match by Lowell Five Bank.
Originally founded as an orphanage in 1903, Nashua Children’s Home offers residential, educational, and transitional living programs to Nashua area children who cannot live at home or attend school. Their goal is to enrich the lives of at-risk youth and provide them with a path to productive adult living.
“It’s a pleasure for Lowell Five to work with an organization like Nashua Children’s Home,” explained Employee Charitable Giving Committee Member, and North Chelmsford Assistant Branch Manager, Christopher Johnson. “They strive to provide support to the children and young adults in their community who need it the most. From the everyday welfare of children who can’t remain with their families, to educational programs for individuals who have a difficult time in traditional school settings, and housing for those who have “aged out” of other care, Nashua Children’s Home displays the kind of values that Lowell Five and our employees are proud to support.”
According to Lori Wilshire, PHR, Business Manager of Nashua Children’s Home, Lowell Five’s ECGC donation “will be used to purchase the technology necessary for remote learning so our children are able to stay current with their school work.”
Each year, Lowell Five’s Employees choose four charitable organizations from a list of employee-elected nominees to be the recipients of a Quarterly Employee Charitable Giving Award.
