Two Lowell Five Employees recognized by Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce

Lowell Five Bank is proud to include two 2022 Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Young Professionals Awards recipients among its ranks. This award is presented annually to nominated individuals under the age of 40 who display and demonstrate outstanding leadership, business achievement, and involvement in the community.

Yanelly Cruz is the Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager of Lowell Five John Street Office. She is responsible for overseeing client relationships and new business development within the Lowell Market space. Her banking career spans over 16 years. Yanelly was born in the Dominican Republic and moved to the United States in 1998 at 13. She has lived in Massachusetts for most of her life and is now a proud resident of Methuen, where she lives with her husband and her two children.

In addition to her commitment to her work and family, Yanelly dedicates her free time to serving her community. She sits on the Board of Directors for Alternative House of Lowell – an organization dedicated to victims and survivors of Domestic Violence. She is actively involved in their many fundraising events – specifically their annual Golf Classic. Yanelly is also a member of the Rotary Club of Lowell, MA. As a Rotarian, she volunteers her time serving at many of the Rotary’s community service projects throughout the City of Lowell. As a woman of color, Yanelly takes pride in representing people and families from diverse backgrounds within the community that she works and serves.

Christopher St. Croix began his career at Lowell Five Bank in 2005 as a Teller and in the Bank’s Client Service Center before accepting a position on the IT Team in 2013. He is currently Assistant Vice President – Network/Systems and oversees Lowell Five’s network infrastructure and security. With the constantly changing landscape around cybersecurity, Christopher is vigilant about staying ahead of and mitigating new cyber threats while balancing operational security and convenience.

In addition to working at the Lowell Five, Christopher volunteers his time and expertise at the Cambodian Mutual Assistance Association of Greater Lowell, Inc. (CMAA). Since 2016, he has worked with staff and other volunteers at CMAA to improve wifi, plan for a new voice system, and assist with troubleshooting technical problems.

Christopher grew up in Pepperell, MA, and graduated from the University of Massachusetts – Lowell in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. He moved to Lowell in 2013, where he now lives with his wife and daughter.
